“You better work something out. Your ideas got us where we are, but now, after yesterday, there’s nothing more to rile the people with, we might lose all that!”
“You’ve been traveling all over, hugging everybody, but do you know what people want?”
“I’ve heard whispers!”
“What? Another situation we can ignite, and a decision after a decade or so?”
“No!”
“Then what?”
“People want the economy revived!”
“I don’t know about such things. I know to push caste and creed against each other, ban culinary habits and advising you about what to say to that opposing cricket captain!”
“But now after yesterday…”
“There’s nothing I can think off! And it’s your fault!”
“Mine? How’s that?”
“You could have delayed it, then we could have had more time!”
“I tried, but he was retiring! Anyway, you’re the schemer, think hard!”
“You could do a rematch with the cricketer?”
“People want more! They’re tired of my sledging! They, won’t come or watch any rematch!”
“What do people want then?”
“Jobs, money in their wallets, food in their stomachs!”
“That’s difficult!”
“I know!”
“I know only about religious strife and anger and hatred!”
“I know, I know, but you’re in charge of ideas, I’m only the doer! Even to do my hair and face takes nearly three hours!”
“I think one strand is out of place!”
“That’s because I was scratching my head, when I saw you doing the same!”
“I was worried!”
“I am too, and start thinking, otherwise we’ll be back home, and even there we might not get back our old jobs!”
“You could hand out some laptops, TVs or whatever to the people?”
“You willing to finance it? Because there’s no money in the coffers!”
