“You know Jesus,” said Judas in my very vivid imagination two thousand years ago, as he sidled up to Jesus after a hectic day of healing the lame, and making the blind to see, “You know these High priests and Romans have been watching you pretty closely you know?”
“Ofcourse they will!” said Jesus weary after the long day.
“And it’s just a matter of time before they try and stop your work of preaching!” continued Judas.
“They will try Judas, but what is it your scheming mind is trying to tell me!”
“I was thinking we could get them off our backs! Instead of calling what you are doing a ministry….”
“My Father’s ministry!”
“Yes, whatever, which is what those guys are furious about, instead we could just register ourselves as an NGO and call ourselves the Jesus Rehabilitation Centre!”
“Hey Jude, that’s a brilliant idea!” cried Mathew the former tax collector, “We won’t even have to pay any taxes then…”
“We can even have a Jesus Eye Restoration Centre too, considering the blind you’ve given sight too!”
“And a Jesus Leprosy Centre!” continued Mathew.
“We will fool the Jews, and the Romans, and believe you me Jesus, even if you preach a hundred sermons a day, but keep in mind that you have to do one healing, then the NGO status we will get for your work will fool everyone!”
This is an imaginary conversation, and though there be many who will read this article and wonder what I am leading to, may I remind you that there are many churches and ministries who have registered themselves as NGOs to get tax benefits, have a small project to show the government that they are not a church but doing charitable work, and fool everyone.
But did Jesus do such?
If that conversation had actually happened, Jesus would most probably have said, “Get thee behind me Satan,” to Judas.
But there are such Judas’s in our country, ones who contact mushrooming churches, telling them to reregister themselves as NGOs. The money they collect from their congregation is paid into an NGO account and no taxes paid. As long as we as a Christian community, don’t know to live by the truth, there will never be a revival in our country, because though we preach, we live a lie.
Jesus could have used a loophole, but we would have lost the Cross!
I can imagine Jesus, turning to Judas and reminding him, about his temptation in the desert, and that God’s church would be established with God’s help, and God’s power, without manmade cleverness and cunning, but in the proper way, and yes of course, without the need for Jesus Rehabilitation Centres..!
Throw out such evil Judas’s..!

Such evil judas are working under umbrellas of religions, and no religion is exceptional. What is the use of such religions which can not correct such followers
Well Said Bobs, I truly Appreciate & Experienced Your Writing practically too, Today Also Judas is Present among us, Showing or using himself as the Benefits of Jesus. How far we will close our Eyes & Be quite for This.
Jesus walked to heal all. If it meant riding on a colt to fulfill a prophesy,He did it. He took a boat to cast out demons in a man living in a place across the river. He walked on water to reach the boat instead of holding up His disciples’ voyage.
