Hillary, Secretary of State..!
One of the reasons it is believed Obama is considering Hillary his Secretary of State is because of the wide international connections Bill Clinton has. Most of the world, remembers President Clinton for the simple reason, they’d like to forget Bush. There are also other reasons they remember Clinton, reasons not discussed too publicly: So there’s bound to be some teething problems:
“Sir,” says the PA to the Indian Prime Minister, “President Clinton is waiting for you in your office!”
“Has he come alone?”
“No sir he’s brought Hillary!”
“Ah then tell my missus to get ready and take her shopping! She can also visit the Taj Mahal tomorrow and do some sight seeing of Old Delhi in the evening!”
“Sir she wants to talk with you!”
“Goodness gracious! About what? I cannot be seen talking with her when my wife should be doing the talking! The whole press will have a field day if they even see me conversing with her! What does she want to talk to about? Her husband? Has he been up to his old tricks? I have always been known as a good marriage counselor! In my Oxford days I counseled many broken relationships between classmates and their girlfriends, tell her we can talk on the phone!”
“She wants to talk now!”
“Is it that bad?”
“Yes sir!”
“Do you have any idea how bad it is?”
“It is very bad sir!”
“Very bad?”
“Yes MR Prime Minister very, very bad!”
“Any laws broken?”
“Human rights violations sir!”
“Oh my God that is bad, why has he behaved so badly?”
“She feels you have sir!”
“I have?”
“Yes sir!”
“What are you talking about?”
“Kashmir sir!”
“She wants to discuss Kashmir with me?”
“As the Secretary of State, yes sir Mr Prime Minister!”
“And what will Mr Clinton do meanwhile?”
“He would like to go shopping with your wife sir! Visit the Taj Mahal tomorrow and do some sight seeing of Old Delhi, while you and the Secretary of State discuss issues of international importance!”
“Never!” cried the distraught Indian PM, “Never!”
“You don’t want to discuss matters with the American Secretary of State sir?”
“I do not want the husband of the Secretary of State to go shopping with my wife, or see the Taj or go sight seeing in Old Delhi! Noooooo!”
Like I said there’s going to be some teething problems..!
