Travelling Out of America..!
A puzzled Texan walked up and down the rooms of a huge white house somewhere in Washington staring hard at the Washington Post. “You got a problem wid a big word or sometin?” asked his wife from the kitchen.
“No!” said her husband, “I got a problem wid dis!”
“De Europeans ave found a new planet jes’ like earth!” said his wife glancing at the paper, “what’s worryin’ you bout dat?”
“Why’s dey found a new planet jes like earth?”" asked the husband.
“Because dey want to go there,” said his wife, “dey want to colonize de place. Like how Vasco de Gama, Columbus, Ferdinand Magellan…”
“Whoa, whoa dear, you is confusin’ me! Why do dese European fellers want to colonize dis new planet?”
“Dey did to Africa and India and South America!”
“How dey gonna do it?”
“Dey’ll send ships dear!”
“Ships to dis new planet?”
“Like how Magellan and Vasco da Gama and…”
“I know, I know,” said her husband testily, “and Columbia what?”
“Columbus,” said his wife quietly, “Christopher Columbus! He also discovered America!”
“De United States of America?”
“Yep!”
“Of which I’m de chief?”
“Yep!”
“You know so much dear! You doin’ all dis learnin’ while I’m clearin’ up de world?”
“No dear they taught me in school!” said his wife wearily.
“Dear?”
“Yes husband?”
“Dey ever teach you why dose people leave dere old world and go to dose new colonies?”
“Yes dear dey did!”
“Why?”
“Because in de old world dey was livin’ in dey found too much sufferin’ and intolerance, dey found too much fightin’ and war. So dey moved over to a brave new world!”
“Dear?”
“Yes husband?”
“You think dese European fellers is plannin’ de same thing?”
“Maybe dear!”
“Why?”
“Because dear husband, in de last six years you and yer English buddy ave brought hatred and war into dis world! So now dey ave only one option…..”
“Dey is goin’ to colonize dis new earth to get away from me?”
Somewhere in Washington in a huge white house a wife looked sadly out of her window at a planet 20 light years away, “Maybe t’would be cheaper if you sent only im dere..!” she thought and wiped a tear away.
