Two Old Transport Planes..!

“Ofcourse it’s a joke,” said an officer in the Sri Lankan airforce as we watched an old transport plane belonging to the LTTE approaching us, “just look at that model, it must be a relic from the Second World War! Ha, ha, ha! Have you seen our planes?”
“No,” I said.
“Come,” said the officer as he took me to a hangar where air force mechanics were polishing the wings of a plane, “Just look at that, it’s the pride of the air force!”
“What is it?” I asked a little ashamed of my ignorance.
“You don’t know?”
“No,” I said.
“Flying Kfirs!” said the Group Captain, “we have two squadrons of them. Two squadrons my dear man flown by our highly skilled pilots trained in England and America can be pretty formidable!”
“I agree,” I said looking in the distance at the approaching transport plane.
We walked to another hangar where I saw more men.
“Those are MIG 23’s!”
“Wow,” I said not really knowing the difference between a MIG and a Jumbo Jet.
“Yes wow!” said the Group Captain.
“And look at this!”
“Look at that,” I said. “What’s it?”
“You don’t know?”
“Is it an air bus?” I asked.
“It’s a J-7!”
“A J-7?” I asked.
“Can you believe it?”
“I’m amazed!” I said, “A J-7!”
“And now you know why we think the Tigers are a joke, you know what they have?”
“No,” I said.
“They have two Zlin 143s!”
“Zlin 143s!” I laughed.
“Just two!” laughed the officer and all his men laughed with him.
Suddenly I saw two bombs dropping from the transport plane above us and they exploded all around us.
I ran and managed to jump into a hangar where I saw the Group Captain also hiding, blood oozing from his arms and legs. “Ha, ha, ha!” laughed the officer, “see what a Zlin 143 can do! Ha, ha, ha! Now you’ll understand why we think their planes are a joke..!”
Somehow I didn’t see the joke.
